Long before the times of Arthur and Guinevere, even before the time Jesus walked the earth, the isle of Avalon was sacred to the early Celts, and before the Celts, the Britons, and perhaps even before the Britons, stretching far back into the mists of time - perhaps even to the times of Atlantis was Avalon a sacred place.     Sacred to those who lived by the seasons and felt the very heartbeat of earth through their feet.   Sacred to those who revered the earth and all of her abundance.    Sacred to those who drew their medicines from the herbs and plants around them.  Sacred to those who knew themselves to be one with all that is.
